Amadeus Ventures has made an undisclosed investment in climate technology specialist Chooose.
Norway-based Chooose specializes in the integration of climate action options in the customer booking process.
The company’s technology helps travelers calculate carbon emissions on air travel, accommodation and ground transport and offers solutions from carbon removal and offsetting schemes to sustainable aviation fuel to help them reduce their carbon footprint.
The partnership between the companies will enable travelers and travel agents to explore and purchase various options to reduce the impact of travel on the environment.

Suzanna Chiu, head of Amadeus Ventures, says: "Our investment in Chooose demonstrates our commitment to working collaboratively with industry leaders and the startup ecosystem together to address climate change. We see great potential in the Chooose team who is both knowledgeable and passionate about providing solutions addressing climate change to the travel and logistics industries.”

Amadeus has also announced a partnership with Green Software Foundation, a non-profit organization set up last year by Accenture, GitHub, Microsoft and ThoughtWorks.
The Chooose-Amadeus collaboration is the latest in a number of partnerships announced between travel companies and the climate technology specialist.
Trip.com said in June that its partnership with the company would help customers understand and offset the impact of their flights.
SAP Concur has also partnered with Chooose via a climate app to help travelers manage carbon emissions, launched on the SAP Concur App Center.
